Pin and Stretch Chiropractor & Massage Therapy

Pin and Stretch

What is Pin and Stretch?

Pin and Stretch is a patented, soft tissue massage technique that treats issues with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are a few of the many conditions that are resolved quickly and permanently with Pin and Stretch. These ailments are often a result of overused muscles.

How Do Overuse Conditions Occur?

Each of these factors causes your body to produce tough, dense scar tissue. This newly formed scar tissue binds and ties down other tissues that need to move freely. As scar tissue builds, muscles become shorter and weaker, the tension on tendons causes tendonitis, and nerves become trapped. These compounded issues reduce the range of motion and muscle strength and increase pain. Trapped nerves cause tingling, numbness, and weakness.

How is Pin and Stretch Performed?

Pin and Stretch is a diagnostic soft tissue treatment that is performed by hand on the problem area to resolve scar tissue, restrictions and entrapments within the muscles, tendons and ligaments Every Pin and Stretch session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The Pin and Stretch provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. These treatment protocols – over 500 specific moves – are unique to Pin and Stretch. They allow providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient. Pin and Stretch is not a cookie-cutter approach.
